Recap - Nov. 12 - Greg M. on Ephesians 4:1-8

The question: Describe a time when you had close community? Answers ranged from people at work, to youth groups, to groups at Hope, High School, choir, college roommates, and family.

Update on Deb S. - She is on modified bed rest and the baby is due soon.

Update on Jeff & Amanda S. - Jeff had some testing and procedures done the last couple weeks but the headaches continue and they still do not know what the mass on his brain is yet. They shared with is today and I'm not sure there were a lot of dry eyes. What struck me was the humility in Jeff as he spoke about the outpouring of love to him and his family. He asked continued prayer as they try and get in to the Mayo Clinic this week and for him not to worry so much. He also asked for prayer for Amanda because she is pregnant.(early stage). Thanks Jeff & Amanda for letting us pray with you and support you.

We looked at Ephesians 4:1-8 today looking specifially at how to live a life worthy of our calling with a focus on Unity.

Greg had us look at the first couple chapters of Ephesians to see all the things God has given us. We are hoping to scan some of those answers on here.

We ended out time discussing how complicated unifying the body of Christ can be. Yet it is still a huge part of what God calls us to as believers.

See you Mid Week.

Todd says...

I was challenged by vs. 2 "Be humble and gentle, be patient..."

The call to humility, gentleness and patience...at work I am trying to deal with conlfict with a co-worker where I need to stay humble but not timid.

Not easy...

Last week - Paul said he does not loose heart because He "focuses not on what is seen, but what is UNSEEN. Though outwardly we are wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day by day." The list of things that UNITE us as Christians are UNSEEN. I want to focus on those more.
Thanks Greg for the good thoughts this morning!
